The place: Originally built as a single-family mansion in 1860, the brick
Victorian was converted to an inn in 1911 and a tavern was added on the
front. The tavern became a series of bars until recently when we
converted it into The Liminis, the performance space of
convergence-continuum. The original house is now three apartments plus
the back-stage area of the theatre.
What's available: One of the apartments is now available. It's a nicely
renovated one-bedroom ($550 + dep.) with a big walk-in closet, new kitchen
appliances (incl. dishwasher), high ceilings with ceiling fans, and
in-apartment access to its own basement. The apartment has a deck along
the garden which is on a side street behind, and around the corner from,
the theater. Tenants get the added bonus of comps to all
convergence-continuum productions.
So if you're looking for a nice, artist-friendly place in a nice
art-friendly neighborhood (Tremont) near downtown, and would enjoy sharing
a deck with actors, designers, and such, give me a return email or a call
at 216-687-0074. And by the way, cats are ok. --- Clyde Simon, Artistic
Dir., convergence-continuum
