Weathervane Playhouse Announces OPEN CALL Auditions for 
Neil Simon’s THE DINNER PARTY

Weathervane Playhouse will hold OPEN CALL AUDITIONS for THE DINNER PARTY, a comedy by Neil Simon, Sunday and Monday, January 25 & 26 at 7:00 p.m.  Callbacks, if necessary, will be held Wednesday, January 27 at 7:00 p.m.  Auditions will be held at Weathervane Playhouse, 1301 Weathervane Lane, Akron, In the Valley off Merriman Road.

Cast requirements:  3 Women, Ages 30 - 60
            3 Men ages 30 - 60

Auditions will consist of readings from the script.  Scripts and audition scenes will be available at the box office.  Be familiar with the script.

Director: Sarah May is a former Artistic Director of Karamu House in Cleveland.  Most recently she directed Anton in Show Business for Ensemble Theatre, Spinning into Butter for Beck Center, John Guare’s Six Degrees of Separation for Charanton Theatre, and The Wiz, the 2002 All-City Musical featuring 76 talented students from the Cleveland Municipal School District onstage in the Ohio Theatre.

Weathervane Playhouse is committed to non-traditional casting.  Except in cases where race, gender, age or disability is essential to the play, all roles will be cast on the basis of talent.  Weathervane Playhouse is a community theater.  All performers in all productions are volunteers.
