The Carousel Dinner Theatre will be holding a second round of local
auditions for all those we were unable to see this past weekend.
Auditions will be held on Saturday January 17,  2004 at 11:00 am at the
Carousel=92s rehearsal space in Akron, OH.

The show will be directed by Bary Ivan.  Mr Ivan has been associated
with theatres throughout the United States and Europe, ranging from
directing at the German State Opera to being a guest director at Yale.
Mr. Ivan has directed at Lincoln Center and won the Boston critic's Best
Director award in 1997 for his rethought version of Forty Second Street,
and he received the "Best Director" citation by the Pittsburgh Press for
his Pittsburg CLO production of Company starring Malcom Gets and
Michelle Pawk.  Mr. Ivan directs regularly at Pittsburgh CLO, North
Shore Music Theatre and has other national credits including West Side
Story and Chicago starring Deborah Gibson.

1. We are looking for Asian child actors to play the role of =93Tam=94. =
Boys
and girls between the age of 5 and 10 will be seen. Children do not need
to sing, but should have a musicality to them and be able to follow
direction well. We will be casting two children to cover this role.=20

2. Also seeking Asian female singer/dancers, age range late teens to
late 20=92s.

3. Also seeking Asian and American male singer/dancers, age range late
teens to late 20=92s.

**Please be prepared to sing 16 bars or more of your own musical choice
that is in the style of=20
the show. Please bring your own sheet music for our accompanist.

**All people auditioning should wear appropriate form-fitting dance
clothing. Men should
wear dance or athletic shoes, women should wear character shoes.

**All people auditioning should bring picture and resume. Young people
auditioning for the role of

"Tam" can bring picture and description of performing experience if no
resume is available.
