Near West Theatre Hosts 6th Annual Benefit at Hermit Club & Ohio Theatre =
on February 15th=20

Near West Theatre (NWT) will hold =93The Best of All Possible Worlds,=94 =
its 6th annual benefit event, on Sunday, February 15, 2004, from 5 =96 9 =

event, NWT will recognize the long-time support of US Bank, under the =

Northern and Central Ohio, and acknowledges the tireless advocacy for =
Cleveland arts and artists by Tom Schorgl, President & CEO of the =
Community Partnership for Arts and Culture. =20

The evening begins at 5 p.m. with a reception at the Hermit Club (1629 =
Dodge Court) and features an array of hearty hors d=92 oeuvres and =

Grill, The Old Angle, OPA! An Epicurean Project, le Oui Oui Caf=E9, The =

A unique aspect of this year=92s event is a silent =
auction featuring eternity spheres, or snow globes, =
decorated and designed by area artists. A raffle, with six =
super-sized prize packages, rounds out the first =
part of the evening. A live auction, including an exclusively designed =
diamond and yellow sapphire necklace; a villa in =

A spirited musical revue featuring an intergenerational cast of =
over 100 NWT alumni begins at 7 p.m. on the Ohio =
Theatre stage. Audience members are invited for dessert and coffee in =

Since 1978, Near West Theatre has provoked theatre through a =
process that is intense, challenging and transforming--for =
participants and audience alike. People from all walks of life come =
together to be challenged--by sharing their unique life stories =
and experiences--to find their own voices and to make personal =
connections with the production. Through this sometimes rugged and =
ragged process, people not only discover themselves in new ways =
but relate to each other through the medium of theatre. =
Connections are made. Community is formed. The result is authentic, raw =
and passionate theatre.

       =20

NWT proudly recognizes the 2003-2004 Season sponsorship of =
Today=92s Soft Rock, WDOK 102.1 FM, and support from =
The Ohio Arts Council and Cleveland Social Venture Partners.
