services to make this production a reality. The cast itself contains
thirteen Hudson residents including; Gary Maher (Avram), Carl Aquila
(Label), Claire Aquila (Fraidel), Jill Jirus Aquila (Mirala), John
Aquila (Yitzuk), Rosie Aquila (Semi), Shannon Davis (Anya), Brian Diehl

The production is being directed by Rich Jagunik and Sonny Sonhalter of
New Philadelphia and co-produced by Hudsonites Gary Maher and Trish
Davis. Music direction is being provided by Debra Burkhart of Dover.
The stage manager is Hudson's Michelle Dolciato.

Set in 1905, "Fiddler on the Roof" takes place in Anatevka, a small
Jewish village in Ukraine. The story revolves around a dairyman, Tevye,
and his attempts to preserve his family's traditions. Tevye must choose
between his own daughter's happiness and those beloved traditions that
hold their community together. Meanwhile, there are forces at work which
threaten to destroy the lifestyle he is trying to preserve. "Fiddler"
features such songs as "If I were a Rich Man," "Tradition" and "Sunrise,
Sunset." It opened on Broadway in 1964 and ran for over three-thousand
performances.

Hudson Players encourages everyone who wishes to see the show to
purchase their tickets now, as several sell-out shows are expected.
Tickets may be purchased and reserved by calling the Hudson Players
telephone box office 330 655-8522 or stopping by the Learned Owl Book
Shop. Groups of 10 or more may purchase discounted tickets ($10.50,
normally $12.00) via the telephone box office.
