AUDITIONS FOR an NDC MASQUERS'  modern rendition of   'THE TEMPEST'
by    WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
 
THE PLOT:
Set adrift by a jealous brother, Prospero, the sorcerer and his daughter
Miranda are marooned on an enchanted island.
Using his powers to shipwreck his enemies on the island, Prospero plots
his revenge with the aid of the island's 'non-human' inhabitants.
A fun and fantastic tale of magic, monsters, jealousy, and, yes, even
love!
 
THE CAST:
 
We are looking for a cast of 10-12 men and women.  (There may be
cross-gender casting and doubling of parts)
 
Characters include:
 
*	Alonso, King of Naples 

*	Sebastian, his brother 

*	Prospero, the rightful Duke of Milan, and a sorcerer  

*	Antonio, his brother; the usurping Duke of Milan 

*	Ferdinand, son of the King 

*	Gonzalo, an old and honest councilor 

*	Adrian, a lord 

*	Francisco, a lord 

*	Caliban, Prospero's slave 

*	Trinculo, a jester 

*	Stephano, a drunken butler  
*	Miranda, Prospero's daughter 

*	Ariel, an airy spirit 

*	Iris, a spirit 

*	Ceres, a spirit 

*	Juno, a spirit 

*	Nymphs 
 
 
Location:   
Notre Dame College
4544 College Rd.  
South Euclid, OH 44121

OPEN AUDITIONS will be held Monday, Feb. 2, 8-10 p.m. in the Performing
Arts Center (Basement floor of the the Administration Building)
CALL-BACK AUDITIONS (by appointment only) will be held Wednesday, Feb.
4, 8-9 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.
 
If you are cast in this production you  must be available to rehearse on
weekends.
PERFORMANCES are Friday, March 12 & Saturday, March 13 at 8 p.m., &
Sunday, March 14 at 2 p.m. (Kids 'N' Sibs Weekend at Notre Dame College)
 
Not interested in performing?  We are also looking for designers,
running crew, & help with publicity and concessions.
