Cleveland Public Theatre is a community asset that produces and presents
creative work that is new, exploratory, and pushes the envelope. CPT’s two
theatres offer opportunities for emerging local, regional, national and
international artists to present their work. CPT also conducts arts
education programs for at-risk youth and adults in transition.
The mission of Cleveland Public Theatre is “to inspire, nurture, challenge,
amaze, educate and empower, artists and audiences in order to make the
Cleveland public a more conscious and caring community.” Located at 6415
Detroit Avenue, CPT serves as catalyst for urban development in the
Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood. Two newly purchased buildings pave the way
for a true “arts campus” in the not-so-far-off future.
CPT-A is a team of engaged volunteers with diverse expertise in business,
finance, the arts, marketing, public works, and nonprofits. This group is
committed to pooling their talents, time, and resources to support the
mission and work of Cleveland Public Theatre. In its first year, CPT-A is
focusing on two key areas: 1) fundraising and 2) audience development.
CPT-A is seeking like-minded volunteers to join our group! Our intention is
to have fun, grow and learn while supporting CPT’s work and efforts to “make
Cleveland a more conscious and compassionate community.” We hope you will
come to the Theatre on February 4th with your friends and colleagues, meet
and mingle with others interested in the arts, and learn how you can
contribute your skills and enthusiasm to further the mission of CPT.
