Location: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Lobby--Open 31 straight hours
Museum hours are: 10 am - 5:30 pm Sunday and Monday
Admission on Monday is 31 cents all day
Hours: 31 Hours from Sunday, February 29, at 10 am, through
Monday, March 1, at 5 pm
Take a Stand on 9th:
At 5 pm, we'll leave the Rock Hall and walk along E 9th Street
with issue 31 Banners and Signs. Drop in during the midnight
hours
and help us make Issue 31 signs
Audience Members are needed.
The lineup isn't entirely set yet. The final version will be on Issue31.org
on Saturday.

ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM
OPEN FOR 31 HOURS STRAIGHT TO SUPPORT ISSUE 31
CLEVELAND (February 26, 2004) - To show support for Issue 31, the Rock and
Roll Hall of Fame and Museum will remain open for 31 hours, beginning at 10:00
a.m. Sunday, February 29 and lasting until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 1.
During this 31hour timeframe, area artists will perform at the Museum to rally
support for Issue 31, the Cuyahoga County levy to support economic development and
arts and cultural activities. As a finale to the event, admission to tour
the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum will be only $0.31 from 10:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 1.
"The Cleveland Theater Collective is pulling together 31 hours of free live
performances to show the public the remarkable variety of cultural
organizations that enrich our quality of life," said Jan Purdy, the Museum's Vice
President of Planning and Development.
Issue 31 will raise $21 million per year to protect jobs, create jobs and
make Cuyahoga County strong again. Among the efforts that will be supported by
levy proceeds are operating, project and artist support to keep our cultural
industry healthy. One half of the levy proceeds will be used for traditional
business support for project gap financing, building rehabilitation and new
product development.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum exists to educate its visitors,
fans and scholars from around the world about the history and significance of
rock and roll music. The Museum carries out this mission through its efforts to
collect, preserve, exhibit and interpret this art form.
The Museum is open seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On
Wednesdays the Museum is open until 9:00 p.m. Museum admission is $20.00 for adults,
$14.00 for seniors (60+), $11 for children (9-12) and children under 8 and
Museum members are free.
