PROFESSIONAL TRAINING INTENSIVES

WHO ARE WE AND WHERE ARE WE LOCATED?
The Fairmount Center is offering a professional summer training program for=20
young people.  It will take place at Centerville Mills Camp, located several=
=20
miles south of I-422 and Rt. 306 in Bainbridge.=A0The camp is 10-15 minutes=20=
from=20
Beachwood.

WHAT IS THE PROGRAM?
The Professional Training Intensives have both day camp and resident camp=20
programs available for teens entering 6=A0-- 8 grade (junior program) & 9=
=A0--=20
entering college freshman (teen program).=A0 The students in our Professiona=
l Training=20
Intensives should have professional aspirations and a desire to train in a=20
challenging and disciplined environment.=A0

Contemporary Theater and Audition Workshop
An advanced program focusing on the plays and techniques of the modern=20
theatre. The workshop covers scene study, voice, movement, improvisation, au=
dition=20
techniques and the system of physical action developed by Constantin=20
Stanislavski. Workshops, master classes and rehearsals are directed by top a=
rea=20
professionals.=A0 =A0As an added bonus, a series of classes and workshops wi=
ll be held=20
during this session that will prepare the students for professional audition=
s and=20
the college theatre program application process.=A0A showcase production of=20
contemporary theatre scenes and monologues will be performed at the end of t=
he=20
session for parents, friends and invited area college educators and theatre=20
professionals.=A0

Shakespeare Workshop
An advanced program focusing on the plays of William Shakespeare.=A0 This=20
workshop offers classes in performing Shakespeare, speaking verse, script an=
alysis,=20
voice for the stage, movement, audition techniques and stage combat.=A0 =A0A=
=20
showcase production consisting of scenes from Shakespeare's plays will be=20
performed at the end of the session for parents, friends and invited area co=
llege=20
educators and theatre professionals.=A0

Musical Theatre Workshop
The great American invention, musical theatre, is explored in this intensive=

and challenging professional workshop.=A0 Area professionals in directing,=20
acting, singing and dance will lead the participants through workshops and=20
rehearsals. =A0A showcase production=A0 that celebrates famous scenes from m=
usical theatre=20
will be performed at the end of the session for parents, friends and invited=

area college educators and theatre professionals.
