Cleveland Theatre Collective Helping to Bring Amy’s View by David Hare to
Dobama Theatre

Dobama’s current production of David Hare’s Amy’s View has received a
generous sponsorship from the Cleveland Theatre Collective that will be used
to provide funding to pay the salary of one Actors’ Equity actor.

The Danny Morris Equity Contract and the Non-Equity Stipend are awards
created by the Cleveland Theater Collective in order to promote the use of
local professional Equity members and experienced non-Equity actors in
productions at mid- to smaller-sized Cleveland theaters. The Equity
Contract award is named after Cleveland actor Danny Morris, who was an
active member of the Actors’ Equity Association, the American Federation of
Television and Radio Artists, and the Screen Actors’ Guild, and who died in
September. Dobama Theatre is honored to accept the Danny Morris Contract
which will be used to support Dobama’s hiring of Catherine Albers as Esme in
Amy’s View.

Catherine Albers is a professional actress and a teacher at Case Western
Reserve University in the Department of Theater and Dance, where she is the
Head of Undergraduate Theater Studies. She is also a Master Teacher in the
M.F.A. Acting program. She has performed on many area stages as well as
throughout the country.

Amy’s View was written in 1997. Its author, David Hare, has acted, directed
and been the writer of more than a dozen plays. He has also adapted
Chekhov, Schnitzler and Brecht and written, adapted and directed films. He
was knighted in 1998. Currently, he serves as Associate Director of the
National Theatre. His most recent play, The Permanent Way, opened in
January.

Loud Americans: A Punk Saga EXTENDED!
March 5-20! Friday and Saturday nights only -- at 11:00 p.m.
“The four-member cast - Duane Rutter as Devon, Jeff Marsey as Toby, Christa
Heidrick as Holly and Brian Douglas as Jimmy - do a fine of job of avoiding
making these characters stereotypes, aided by a script that never allows
them to be typed easily as ‘right’ or ‘wrong.’ All combine ‘one-for-all’
motives with more selfish ones.” - Anastasia Pantsios, Free Times

“Strong score ... many infectious tunes … Short, bittersweet and nearly
