Premier Production - "WHAT THE BELLHOP SAW"

The new Broadview Heights Cultural Arts Building will come alive with
activity this weekend with the production "What the Bellhop Saw".
<?xml:namespace prefix = o />The facility is the product of a massive
volunteer effort which began in November, 2003. The facility officially
opens Friday with this show. It is a former group home which was remodeled
to house an intimate performance hall, art gallery, classrooms, and storage.

"What the Bellhop Saw" is a comedy which runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8PM
through May 22. The closing show is a matinee on Sunday May 23 - 3PM. It is
written by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore and presented through special
arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., New York, NY.

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Tickets for the show are $10 ($8 for Seniors and Children 12 & under).
Seating is limited and reservations are suggested. Call 216/556-0660 or log
onto the Spotlights' website: www.broadview-heights-spotlights.org. The
Cultural Arts Building is located at the Broadview Center, 9543 Broadview
Road (1/2 mi. south of Rt. 82). Enter the main drive, turn right at flag
pole, and follow the signs to the first street past the Police Department.

Another "first" for the Cultural Arts Building is an art exhibit by local
artist Val Kaczor. Her contemporary interpretation of the soon-to-be
demolished old hospital building is entitled "Retrospections to Be" and is
sure to be popular because of the building's future extinction. The
colorful, limited-edition prints will be available for purchase with part of
the proceeds benefiting the Broadview Heights Spotlights Community Theater.
The exhibit will be open to the public from one hour before and through each
performance (admission to the show is not required). A collage is on
display in the lobby of the City Community Building; it shows all of the
available prints.
