Per your request, here is the information in full detail. Hope to see some people from Cleveland partake in this. You are also welcome to submit. 

This is a 16mm color short film. Full feature documentary will be shot around it. 

PBS attention was not needed.

The Dir. / Prod. premiered previous films at Cannes 2003 and Tribeca 2004 with "Official Selection." Serious crew, as we hope so is the talent that submit. 

Casting all headshot/resumes received by Aug. 15. 
Auditions mid Aug. Shoots early Sept. in NYC. 

Brief synopsis: Alex and Eddie are long time friends from Queens, NY. Corrupted by the dark side of Wall Street, the two suffer the consequences of innocence overshadowed by greed. As their American dream crumbles before their eyes and an unbearably long prison term breathes down their necks, Alex and Eddie take different stances on the challenge ahead. Eddie's acceptance is fueled by his cockiness and experience of life's ups and downs. Alex's realization and definition of the value of freedom, coupled with an abandonment for materialism, increasingly tenderizes him. With Alex's mother's illness worse by each day, jail is not an option. 

Seeking: 


*Galina: Russian, 40- early 50's, Alex's mother. "Attractive features bless her angelic presence...physically weak, yet ever heart-strong, she succeeds to speak and sit up in bed." 


*Dimitry: Russian, 50- early 60's, Alex's father. "His kind eyes reveal vulnerable emotion for his son, yet he keeps up a strict and firm face." 


Efi: Israeli, 30-50, owner of jewelry store. 


Sasha: Russian, 50-60, a bit heavy set, but well kept, Mob boss and restaurant owner (not typical). 


Shuster: Russian, 30-40, Sasha's right hand. 


NYC Gentleman's Club Bathroom Attendant: African American, 60-70's. "A face that has more to tell than a history book." 


Stewart: 40-50. "Jewish, sharply dressed, mogul of a man...chomping down a Cuban cigar." 


Corporate Types: All ethnicities, 20-30.

Amerikan Dream will be submitted to the main festival circuit and so will the documentary. Will seek distribution.
