conceived by Murray Horwitz and Richard Maltby, Jr. with music mostly by Fat=

AUDITIONS BY APPOINTMENT on Monday and Wednesday, August 30 and September 1=20
beginning at 7 p.m. in 5-minute intervals. Callbacks September 4. Please cal=

Cast requirements:  5 African American Singer-Actors who move well
                         3 women (20 - 40)
                         2 men (20 - 50)
Prepare:    One ballad or up-tempo song which may be in a jazz cabaret style=

 Bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided. =20
Movement will be given at callbacks.

Cast requirements for Three Days of Rain:
                   1 Woman (25 - 40)
            2 Men (25 - 40)

Cast requirements for Angels in America:
            3 Women (24 - 60)
            5 Men (24 - 60)

Please prepare a 1 -2-minute contemporary, dramatic monologue that is not=20
from either script. Auditions will also consist of readings from the script.=
 =20
Scripts will be available at the box office.

Director for both productions (THREE DAYS OF RAIN and ANGELS IN AMERICA) is=20
Sean McConaha, Weathervane's Director of Education and Producer of Youth/Fam=
ily=20
productions.  He holds an M.A. degree in Theater from The University of=20
Akron.  For Weathervane, he has directed award-winning productions of The Ki=
ng of=20
the Kosher Grocers and Romeo and Juliet, as well as The Glass Menagerie, The=
=20
Chosen, Hamlet and A Lesson Before Dying.

All roles are available. Weathervane Playhouse is committed to=20
non-traditional casting.  Except in cases where race, gender, age or disabil=
ity is essential=20
to the play, all roles will be cast on the basis of talent.  Weathervane=20
Playhouse is a community theater.  All performers in all productions are=20
