LA TURISTA BY SAM SHEPARD OPENS FRIDAY, AUGUST 27 AT
THE LIMINIS IN TREMONT

Bored? Have the dog days of summer got you down?
Overwhelmed by stress on the job? Confused as to the
difference between orange and yellow threat levels? Do
you feel like you just need to get away from it all?

Then how about a vacation?

Salem and Kent have decided to do just that. The
problem is, they end up battling sunburn and a nasty
case of the trots during their Mexican getaway. To
make matters worse, their retreat is invaded by a
shoeshine boy with attitude. Who is he? What does he
want? Will Salem and Kent find a cure for their
sickness? Is bloodletting the only answer?

On August 27, convergence-continuum will be the tour
guide as they explore the joys of modern medicine and
ritual sacrifice in Sam Shepard’s La Turista, directed
by convergence-continuum’s Artistic Director Clyde
Simon and an ensemble cast that includes Cliff Bailey,
Jovana Batkovic, Brian Breth, Arthur Grothe, Geoffrey
Hoffman, and Brin Metzendorf.

La Turista opens Friday, August 27 and runs Thursdays,
Fridays, and Saturdays through September 25 at The
Liminis, 2438 Scranton Rd. in Cleveland's historic
Tremont neighborhood. All performances begin at 8 pm.
Tickets are $12 for general admission and $9 for
students and seniors. Seating for this production is
limited. For information and reservations, call
