The Chase, a short experimental film by Johnny Wu which has screend at
manu film festivals around the world and at sci-fi conventions has just
being accepted to Gloria International Film Festival in West Valley
City, Utah.

Gloria International Film Festival is an annual film festival that has a
mission to showcase films that stir the soul, heal the heart, and enrich
the world. It is supported by the nonprofit organization, The
Edification Foundation, a National Heritage Foundation.

The Gloria Film Festival selection committee has chosen to include The
Chase in their 2004 program. The short film is tentatively scheduled to
be screened with the documentary Never Been Done--a story about
skateboarder Jon Comer. More information will be available at
http://www.gloriafilmfest.org/

The Chase, written and directed by Johnny Wu, follows the plight of a
young beauty as she flees from a mysterious pursuer through the halls of
an abandoned building. As she is trapped at a dead end inside of a
freight elevator, all hope seems lost until fate places two rescuers in
the pursuer's path. A fight ensues, but who will win? And is our damsel
in distress any safer if the other guys win?

The Chase is the result of a self-imposed challenge by the filmmakers to
produce a silent, yet compelling martial-arts driven story in an
enclosed environment. Containing highly-choreographed fight scenes,
stunt performers, wire-work and stylized lighting; The Chase is an
attempt to create a live-action Anime. The Chase is the first
independent film ever created in Cleveland with well executed wire-work
techniques.

Johnny Wu's next project is a fan film based on DC Comics' Batman,
principal photography is slated for October 14-17, 2004 shooting all
over Cleveland, Ohio with the participation of locally expertise
filmmakers including Bill Johns, Robert Banks, to California's award
winning documentary filmmaker John Sheetz, advisors including Stephen
Lebed (Charmed Visual FX Supervisor), Jason Hilton (Tumblemonster
Productions) plus additional professional crew and cast including
Richard Ingraham, Christine Chapman, Donald Gregory, Robyn Griggs, Tom
Luhtala, Andrew Schofield, Andrew Sokol and many others. Additional
