Hudson Players To Hold Auditions August 30 & 31 For Third Annual Community
Talent Show

The Hudson Players will hold auditions for their Third Annual Community
Talent Show at 7 pm, August 30 & 31, at Barlow Community Center located on
Oviatt Street in Hudson, across from the Hudson Fire Department.

Keeping true to the vaudevillian aesthetic, any type of talent that can be
showcased on stage is welcome. From magic to comedy to singing to dancing
to juggling – all talents are encouraged. Acts should preferably be fewer
than five minutes in length. No appointment is necessary to audition.

“We had a great turnout last year,” said Gary Maher, one of the show’s
producers. “We’re hoping for the same – all types and variety of talents. It
’s kind of amazing to sit back and watch the hidden talents all your
neighbors have. It’s really a lot of fun. If anybody has ever thought about
auditioning, I encourage them to do so. I’m sure they’ll have a great time.
It’s also an excellent way for those with more experience to get some
exposure in front of an audience and the public in a relaxed fun format.”

Performances will be September 17 and 18 at 8 pm at the Barlow Community
Center. More information is available via the Hudson Players website
(www.hudsonplayers.com) or by calling 330-655-8522.

For those interested in attending the show, tickets may be reserved via
phone by calling (330) 655-8522 or at the Learned Owl Bookstore on Main
Street. The Hudson Players are expecting a large crowd this year. They
urge everyone to reserve their tickets early to ensure a seat.

"This production offers everyone in - and around - Hudson to show their
hidden talents." says Brian Diehl, Hudson Players board member. "If you
have an act or a band or a desire to be on stage, here's your chance to show
off what you've got. It isn't a contest, it's just a chance for people to
get on stage and show what they can do."

Those interested in joining The Hudson Players or donating time or money can
contact the group at 330 655-8522, players at ayalogic.com or P.O. Box 2159
Hudson, Ohio 44236.

The Hudson Players are one of the area’s longest running community theaters
and are members of the Hudson Chamber of Commerce, The Ohio Community
Theatre Association and the American Association of Community Theater. The
Hudson Players are a non-profit 501-C-3 organization.
