Elynmarie Kazle, Executive Director of Weathervane Playhouse is pleased =
to announce the members of the 2004-2005 Board of Trustees. At the helm =
as President, for his second year, is George Moxon II. He is an =
intellectual property attorney with more than 25 years of experience =
with numerous corporations and low firms. He joined Roetzel & Andress in =
2003 where he is currently a Partner in the Intellectual Property =
Practice/Business Services Group and handles IP matters including =
patents, trademarks and copyrights for the firm. Prior to joining =
Roetzel and Andress, George was a Partner in Brouse McDowell and a =
Senior Patent Counsel with The BF Goodrich Company in Brecksville. =
George is a graduate of the University of Maryland and the Catholic =
University of America.

In addition to Moxon, the Executive Committee includes Mary Beth Kluge - =
First Vice President, Rozell Duncan - Second Vice President, William =
Glaeser -- Secretary, Jack Steele - Treasurer, Jim Horvath - Assistant =
Treasurer, Dr. Steven P. Schmidt - Immediate Past President and Margaret =
J. Dietz - Historian.

Also returning to the Board are Kathy Ashcroft, Chic Carlson, Thelma =
Coss (Ex-Officio), Dr. Paul Daum, Michael Davis, Christopher Esker, Roy =
Hartz, Jeff Houck, Amy Lee M.D., John Morgan, Tom Stephan and Mark A. =

BARBARA BASKIN is a lifelong supporter of the arts who has worked and =
volunteered extensively on behalf of the arts in Akron and throughout =
Summit County. Barbara has served one three-year term on the Weathervane =
Board of Trustees during which time she actively volunteered as Chair =
and Co-Chair of the Weathervane Galas. For 15 years she worked as =
administrative assistant to John Kenley, the producer of Summer Stock in =
Akron in the  80's and early 90's. She served 2 three-year terms on the =
Board of Trustees of the Civic Theatre. Barbara serves on other =
community boards and committees such as the Women's Board of the Child =
Guidance, the Multiple Sclerosis "Woman of Valor" committee and the 2004 =
Great American Award at Stan Hywet.

DESIREE BOLDEN is the Director of Akron After School, a project that is =
designed to make public schools centers of community life. Desiree was =
instrumental in designing this project that led to collaboration between =
the Akron Public Schools and the City of Akron. Akron After School is =
currently in its 4th year and is in 10 schools providing academic =
intervention and youth/cultural development to over 2,500 elementary =
children. The program is based in the APS's Strategic Planning and =
Grants Department and is also under the direct leadership of the Mayor. =
Desiree has been active in the local and city PTA's, a workshop =
presenter on grant writing and behavior management for local community =
agencies and a grant reviewer for the Ohio Department of Education. She =
is committed to offering resources to our inner city youth to provide =
them with a hope for the future and to address the societal disparities =
that contribute to low academic achievement. Desiree is a graduate of =
Kent State University.


KEITH CANTINE is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago and =
Loyola University of Chicago. Following military service, he was the =
metallurgist for the Armstrong Bros. Tool Company. Deeply passionate =
about urban revitalization, he worked in mortgage banking and later =
directed land acquisition for The Habitat Company, Chicago, Illinois in =
their development of scattered site public housing. Prior to coming to =
Akron, Keith volunteered with the Habitat for Humanity and the Downtown =
Lexington Corporation in Lexington, Kentucky.

JON FIUME is Vice-President Retail Operations and Natural Products for =
Ritzman Natural Health Pharmacies. He possesses over 12 of experience in =
retail development, operations, and natural products. As an integration =
of his business beliefs and practices with his life, he organizes =
expeditions to the Amazon Rainforest semi-annually. Jon also serves on =
the Akron Art museum's wine auction board. Jon possesses a Bachelor's =
degree in Spanish and Marketing from John Carroll University and is also =
a Licensed Massage Therapist.

BARRY FRIEDMAN is Vice President of N. Gogolick and Son, a diamond =
importing company in Cleveland. He is an active volunteer at Weathervane =
backstage as well as a performer onstage. His acting credits include a =
Chanticleer for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical. He is a past =
president of the Weathervane Men's Board and has served in the past on =
the Weathervane Board of Trustees.

KAREN LEFTON is the Associate General Counsel at the Akron Beacon =
Journal where she focuses on labor and employment law and First =
Amendment/public records issues. Before her service as in-house counsel =
started in 1997, she was a reporter and editor in the newsroom for 17 =
years. Karen is a graduate of Miami University and the University of =
Akron School of Law. Karen serves as a member of the Advisory Board of =
the Women's Endowment Fund of the Akron Community Foundation.  She also =
is active in the Akron Bar Association.  She is a past member of the =
Labor Advisory Council of the American Arbitration Association and the =
advisory committee for the Community & Technical College of the =
University of Akron. She has already served one three-year term on the =
Weathervane Board of Trustees and has been active on Gala Committees.

MYRON LEWIS is an Akron native. He attended Buchtel High School where he =
was an outstanding football player. He received an athletic scholarship =
to attend Morehouse College in Atlanta from where he received his =
college degree. Myron has been employed by the Akron Health Department =
since 1998 serving as an adolescent chemical dependency counselor. Myron =
has appeared in four Weathervane productions - The Piano Lesson, Seven =
Guitars, A Lesson Before Dying, and The Laramie Project. He has also =
written and acted in Mr. Lewis Rules, representing Weathervane with this =
work around the state. In 1999 he was cast by the Detroit Theater for =
the Dramatic Arts in a play that toured South Africa. Myron also owns a =
small business named "Direct Drama" that focuses upon conflict =
resolution through the medium of drama.

GREGG MANES is an attorney is private practice who has practiced in =
Akron for 20 years.  Gregg is a lifelong resident of the City of Akron, =
graduating from Firestone High School in 1977. He attended Ohio =
University receiving a Bachelors of Business Administration.  Gregg =
graduated from the University of Akron School of Law in 1994 and has =
been active in the Akron Bar Association on the Fee arbitration =
committee, Unauthorized Practice of Law committee (past chair) and the =
Bar Applicants Committee.

BEV SMITH is an Akron native and a graduate of The University of Akron =
with a degree in education. She began her teaching career in Toledo but =
returned to the Akron Public Schools in 1976 where she taught music, =
drama and performing arts to students of all ages. From 1996-1998 Bev =
was the assistant principal at Stow High School. Currently she works for =
the Mentor School District and is the Assistant Principal of Memorial =
Junior High. Bev is a graduate of the Stow Leadership Program. She has =
been a frequent performer and volunteer at Weathervane. Bev chairs the =
Play Selection Committee and most recently appeared in Nunsense.

JAMES SNEED is a life-long resident of the City of Akron. A graduate of =
St. Vincent-St. Mary High School and the University of Akron, he is =
currently employed as Human Resources Coordinator by A. Schulman =
Incorporated. Jim has also been a part-time employee for the City of =
Akron Recreation Division for nearly 20 years, serving in the position =
of Recreation Specialist and developing programs and events to mentor =
youth. A recent graduate of the Project Blueprint Program, Jim has also =
been involved in the Harry "Butch" Reynolds Foundation, as a volunteer =
for the NFL Hall of Fame, as a member of Black Achievers and Big =
Brothers and Big Sisters of Summit and Medina Counties and as =
Chairperson for Work Force Readiness/Community Involvement for the Akron =
Chapter Human Resource Management.

RICHARD WORSWICK (2007) recently retired after 22 years of employment =
with the Musical Arts Association, which operates The Cleveland =
Orchestra, Severance Hall and Blossom Music Center. During his =
employment at Severance Hall, Richard served as Box Office Manager, =
Director of Patron Services and Director of Facility Sales. Richard is a =
graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a major in Theatre, and =
also studied acting at The Academy of Dramatic Art at the Meadowbrook =
Theatre.  Richard has appeared in numerous Weathervane productions =
during the past three years that he has served as a Trustee at =
Weathervane and was last seen in last season's productions of The =
Mystery of Irma Vep and The Dinner Party. Off stage, Richard has also =
been an active volunteer at the Playhouse volunteering his time in the =
Box Office, organizing the 300 Club raffle, serving on the Gala =
Committee and on the Play Selection committee.
