The University of Akron School of Music opened Schmidt and Jones' =
timeless musical, "The Fantasticks," last night to great acclaim.  The =
run continues this weekend: Saturday September 11, Sunday, September 12, =
and next weekend: Friday, September 17 through Sunday, September 19, in =
Guzzetta Recital Hall.=20

This delightful comedy includes the beautiful songs, "Try to Remember," =
and "Soon It's Gonna Rain," and holds the record as the world's longest =
running musical. This production is directed by veteran singer, actor, =
director Alfred Anderson, with music direction by Mayumi Kikuchi, and =
choreography by Devon Shriver.  The musical features the talents of UA's =
Theatre and Opera students, plus a few surprises!=20
