Class Description: 
Intermediate-Advanced Hip-Hop is a fast paced style of dance loosely based
on jazz dance. Hip-Hop dance is generally done to popular pop music, and an
overall emphasis is placed on strength and coordination with additional
emphasis on flexibility. Hip-Hop students wishing to continue on to higher
levels of study, or to become a member of performing and competition teams
are recommended to take jazz and/or ballet classes in addition to their
Hip-Hop class.

What is Cardio-kickboxing?
Cardio-kickboxing is a high-impact cardiovascular workout that blends
elements of boxing, martial arts and traditional aerobics into a 60-minute
exercise routine.  Classes vary but generally feature a variety of punches,
kicks, knee strikes and other self-defense moves interspersed with many
other aerobic exercises, such as jumping jacks, abdominal crunches, leg
lifts and push-ups to create a total body workout.
How many calories does Cardio-kickboxing burn?
According to a study by the American Council on Exercise, cardio-kickboxing
burns an average of 400 to 450 calories per hour.
Advantages
In addition to improving and maintaining cardiovascular fitness,
Cardio-kickboxing increases strength and flexibility, improves coordination
and balance, sharpens reflexes and relieves stress.  In addition, it offers
a continually changing workout, which is the key to a better body.  If
you're always doing the same routine, your body will plateau. You need
something to challenge it, because your body gets conditioned to the same
activity.  Adding Cardio Kick-boxing class to your regular exercise program
will allow you to see results such as greater strength and endurance, and
better yet, improved muscle tone all over.
