Dan Clark and Loop Ltd, Productions are looking to cast
two male actors: one older (60+) and one middle aged
(late 40's to early 50s) for parts in 'Sin Times Seven' -
An immorality play (comedy) in three acts to be performed
in the 2004 Spotlight On Halloween Festival. The play is an
ensemble piece with a cast of over ten performers.
The older character, 'Teddy Behr', is described in the play
as being 'old, bald and fat'. While some accommodation
can be made in the dialog to fit other types, the actor
must be able to play 'older' than one of his co-stars played
by a 60+ year old actor with which this character has his
most significant interaction. 'Teddy' was once a gay
gigolo-type, now much older and having fallen on hard times.
The second, middle-aged character, 'Professor Everharde',
is a somewhat handsome, imposing figure. There is also a
'play-within-the-play' in which this character must assume
a rather broad (comic) German accent.
There is no pay associated with either of these roles.
The Actors must be non-equity.
Casting for these roles needs to be done right away,
as rehearsals are due to start in the next week or so.
All of the plays performance dates in the festival are in
late October. Other principal parts have already been cast.
While early rehearsal times are flexible and have not
been set yet, the actors must be available for the
technical and dress rehearsals on the morning of
October 16th and morning/afternoon of October 19th
and for the five performances:
Thursday Oct 21 - 5:00 PM
Saturday Oct 23 - 7:30 PM
Tuesday Oct 26 - 5:30 PM
Wednesday Oct 27 - 7:30 PM
Saturday Oct 30 - 5:30 PM
