Oct. 9, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sandefur Theatre in Guzzetta Hall on The University of Akron campus.

New World Performance Laboratory and The University of Akron Theatre Program have organized a symposium with a variety of teachers and actor trainers from area universities and colleges to discuss their training techniques and the state of acting in Northeast Ohio. Join Catherine Albers, Jairo Cuesta, Beth McGee, Chuck Richie, Terry Sandler, James Slowiak, Ansley Valentine and Eric VanBaar for all or part of this day long event.  Free and open to the public.
