About the Columbus Fringe Festival:
The Columbus Fringe Festival exists to celebrate the
wealth of original, adventurous work by stimulating a
collorative environment among local and national
artistic companies (or organizations) and audiences. 



MADLAB SEEKS SCRIPT SUBMISSIONS FOR THE COLUMBUS
FRINGE FESTIVAL 2005 

Playwrights from everywhere are encouraged to submit
their scripts for consideration for The First Annual
Columbus Fringe Festival, taking place May 12th-June
4th 2005. Shows will run Thursdays-Sundays. The
Columbus Fringe Festival is a juried festival.

Submissions can be in one of two categories:

1. Producing companies can submit scripts for
consideration for inclusion into the Columbus Fringe
Festival 2005. Producing companies are those which, if
selected, would need to travel to Columbus to perform
their show. This means that MadLab would provide a
performing space with light/sound capabilities,
publicity with the overall festival, and box office
staffing. The Producing Company would be responsible
for their own production costs (artist payments,
props, costumes, set pieces, etc.) as well as travel
and lodging expenses. For further information about

2. Playwrights that do not intend to, or cannot,
produce their own work can submit their scripts to
MadLab Theatre for consideration to be included into
the Columbus Fringe Festival. Scripts chosen from this
pool will be produced by MadLab Theatre. If you are
familiar with MadLab and its past seasons, these works
would be included in MadLab's Annual Theatre Roulette,
which will be a part of The Columbus Fringe Festival.
