A few days ago, I sent out a brief notice.

I had been asked by a friend (see email below) to send out "feelers" and =
see
if anyone in the NE Ohio market would be interested in developing two =
shows
that hold the promise of  making their way to Broadway.

As we all know, many shows begin their trials outside of New York so =
they
may be worked and polished. Doug Katsaros (http://dougkatsaros.com/ ) =
and
Pat Birch are working on two such shows. One is called Orphan Train, =
based
on stories of children who where taken from New York and sent to the =
Midwest
to be adopted, but in many cases, ending up as slave labor on farms. The
second is based on Charles Dickens' Great Expectations . with a twist.

Doug is an award winning Broadway, television, film, and jingle =
composer. He
was the orchestrator for the revival of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW on =
Broadway.
He also conducted and arranged FOOTLOOSE on Broadway. He has worked with
musical stars such as Cher, Aerosmith, Frank Sinatra, Elton John, and =
Bon
Jovi to name a few. His "By Mennen" three note jingle is one everyone =
knows.

Pat Birch (www.broadwaytp.org/birch.html ) is an Emmy and Tony nominated
choreographer/director (PARADE, GREASE). She choreographed all the =
musical
sequences for the film GREASE (and its sequel), skits for SNL, and has =
won
awards from the Drama Desk, Critics Circle, Billboard, and MTV.=20

As for myself, a few may know me as I strive to become a better actor
(please be kind), but I am relatively new to acting. My natural talent, =
some
say, is in Marketing. I retired four years ago (after 26 years) from an
Akron company where I was responsible its Sales and Marketing. I still =
say
that acting is where I belong . we'll see (again, please be kind).

I have a few tracks of each musical from their New York workshops and =
the
music in amazing. I can email tracks to those who are interested. The
scripts will be made available as "talks" progress.

an exploratory mailing to determine interest in these projects by
established venues.

I will be more than happy to entertain questions, ideas, and proposals =
to
get these wonderful projects staged.
