10 most FAQ's about MGP's "Titanic"

1)   Where are the auditions taking place?
     Avon Lake High School's Choral Room in the most NW corner of the 
building.

2)   How old to you have to be to be in the production?
     13 and older.   Anyone younger than 13 can only join if a 
parent/guardian is in the chorus with them.   The adults have 2 rehearsals without children. 
  The children join in at the 3rd rehearsal.

3)   Have any parts been cast?
     NO.   All 16 male parts and 6 female parts are available.

4)   Do you have any Equity contracts?
     No.

5)   When are the show dates?
     April 8, 9, 10, 15, 16.

6)   What is the rehearsal schedule like?
     Only Fridays during Jan/Feb/Mar.   Then, all week of production week 
(beginning April 3). This is unique.   However, there are 3 advantages:
     1)   We start promptly at 7:00 and rehearsals are organized so not a 
minute is wasted.
     2)   You have more time to develop and work on your character/music 
between rehearsals.
     3)   Your spouse/significant other will recognize you because you're not 
gone so much!

7)   What do you need for auditions?
     Auditions will be based largely on singing ability.   Be prepared to 
sing a verse and chorus of something that shows your range.   The music director 
may ask you to vocalize to hear more of your range.   There will be no 
movement audition.   There might be script reading if necessary.

8)   Are there callbacks?
     Not usually.   Auditions are on the 3rd and the 10th at 7:00.   If there 
are decisions yet to be made, only those involved will be called on Saturday 
the 11th.   All others will be called on Sunday.

9)   What if I cannot make the audition dates?
     Please contact the director and set up a different time.

10) Do I need to audition to be in the chorus?
     No.   You only need to come to the rehearsals beginning Jan. 7.   MGP 
prides itself on having a large chorus and having had over 1900 members over 
it's 45 year history.   Some families have been involved for 3-4 generations.   

THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A SNOW DAY IN MGP.   IF THE SCHOOLS CLOSE DUE TO 
INCLEMENT WEATHER, WE MOVE REHEARSALS TO A CHURCH HALL IN AVON LAKE.   ANY 
CHANGES IN REHEARSAL SPACE WOULD BE POSTED ON THE DOORS GOING INTO THE REHEARSAL 
AREA.
