Tickets for V-Day UA’s benefit performance of The Vagina Monologues can now be reserved at The University of Akron Box Office. General admission tickets are only $10. Student tickets are $6 with a valid student I.D.
This year’s production has been inherited by a group of UA students from Queen Bee Productions, the company that held the event for the past three years.
The show will run Friday, February 18 through Sunday, February 20 at the University of Akron Student Union Theater. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Each night’s performance will begin at
8 p.m.
Proceeds will benefit the YWCA Rape Crisis Program and the Battered Women’s Shelter of Summit County. In addition, a portion of the proceeds will go to Women of Iraq: Under Siege, this year’s global spotlight initiative.

V-Day UA is part of the V-Day College Campaign. Each V-Day event centers on
a local production of the Vagina Monologues. . The proceeds from these performances
go back to the community to local organizations and programs already working to raise
awareness, develop outreach initiatives and stop violence against women and girls.
