A Return to the
River Street Playhouse
The reopening of the River Street Playhouse is made possible by a grant =

the generosity of
Steve Shields
Thank you to Steve Shields for allowing us back into this special space =
in honor of our 75th season. River Street has a unique magic that is =
difficult to explain. It is a place where we, as artists, have been =
able to try things a "main stage" production would not support. =20
=20
The first thing I noticed upon my return to this space was the river =
street "SMELL". It's a smell that triggers memories of friendships =
made, lives now lost, incredible performances, risks taken, and =
immeasurable hilarity. It is where my love of monologues was born, =
where I lost my fear of snakes, and where my fingernails caught fire. =
It is such a sweet reprise to stand on this stage once again and to feel =
the energy of all who have gone before. No matter how you feel about =
Rush Limbaugh, I know you will laugh. Jim, you are eerily "Rush-Like". =
Michael, your faux pas were too funny. Daniel you are my favorite =
chameleon. I love you guys!

Lastly, I would like to dedicate this show to Steve Shields, without =
whose generous, kind and nurturing spirit this theater would not exist.
