Mary Lu Franks has worked as an actor, singer and dancer since the age of=20
sixteen.=A0 Now, after a career in teaching, she is pursuing her passion, fu=
ll=20
time. She is delighted to work with all the wonderful folks at Karamu.

Joanne Johnson writes poety and short stories. A lover of all arts, Joanne=20
works in the East Cleveland Public Library and has appeared in Joseph and=20
Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, directed by Nathan Lilly.

Herrick Martin, a native Clevelander, graduate of Gilmour Academy and Xavier=
=20
University of Louisiana, loves acting and poetry writing.=A0 Aspects of Life=
,=20
his first book of poetry was published in 2003. He hopes to have more coming=
,=20
soon.

Alex P. Michaels is a local Emmy- winning writer, actor and director who is=20
best known for his film and TV achievements.=A0 Alex is=A0 working on his cu=
rrent=20
project, Out of Darkness, a TV pilot, through his Alex P. Michaels=20
Prelude2Cinema production company.

Vickie Williams-Morris is a performance, visual and literary artist whose=20
stage play Expendable was read in the 9th annual ArenaFest Festival of New P=
lays=20
at Karamu House.Vickie has appeared in various productions in Colorado and=20
Ohio and is currently working on two children's books and co-authoring her=20
sister's memoir.

Melissa Pelham=A0 has always had a love for theater and singing.She recently=
=20
performed in last season's Black Nativity at Karamu.=A0 Melissa has also per=
formed=20
in the plays, Walker's Story and in Freedom's Watch.=A0=20

Stefano believes that "Everything God has placed in me, I want to fulfill an=
d=20
explore, and everything I do has significance. My name, Stefano, means=20
'crowned' and my locks represent my crown.=A0 I believe I'm destined to exce=
l as long=20
as I pursue it."

Ubu Zurub is a stand up comedian, actor, writer, spoken word poet, and a=20
Registered Nurse who has performed in comedy clubs in New York and Los Angel=
es, as=20
well as performing her solo performance piece at Cleveland Public Theater.=

Married to her supportive husband Atef, Ubu is the mother of Chance and Naki=
