GroundWorks returns to Perform at Cleveland Public Theatre as part of DanceWorks 05

GroundWorks will perform March 31 – April 3 at CPT’s Gordon Square Theatre located at 6415 Detroit Avenue, (corner of West 65th St.) in Cleveland, Ohio.
Performances are Thursday, March 31st at 7:30pm, Friday, April 1st and Saturday, April 2nd at 8pm and Sunday, April 3rd at 3pm. General Admission tickets are $19 on Thursday and Sunday and $24 on Friday and Saturday. $10 tickets are available for anyone under 25. Tickets can be purchased by calling CPT at 216-631-2727.
GroundWorks will host a special networking event for young professionals on Thursday, March 31st. Tickets are $10 for the show and participants will enjoy a meet and greet with the dancers along with a wine and cheese reception immediately following the performance.

GroundWorks performance features a world premiere by Artistic Director, David Shimotakahara entitled “The Music Room”. For the creation of this piece Mr. Shimotakahara worked with New York set designer, Narelle Sissons. The work incorporates a specially designed multipurpose doorway as a physical metaphor for a range of issues involving physical and emotional boundaries, hidden desires and isolation, but ultimately being on the threshold of chance and change. The performance also includes additional work selected from GroundWorks acclaimed repertory.
