BlankDear Pals- On Tuesday, March 22, each and every attendee was =
sent an email requesting that they contact me directly with their honest =
impressions of the meeting, including what they'd like to see in the =
next meeting. They were also told that the testimonials were for =
publication here and on the gotpay.org website.

You read a handful yesterday. Here are a few more testimonials per my =
request.  =20

Your devoted advocate and blah blah yada yada ya.................ya =
know!=20

My sincere thanks for publicizing this hot topic. I have responded to =
many a NEOhioPal posting by asking "what is the pay?" and rudely hearing =
"there isn't any pay". It's amazing how many people want entertainers =
to work for nothing and I am glad you have started Northeast Ohio on =
this crusade to empower actors, singers, models, etc. to ask for payment =
for their work.  =20

The first meeting of the newly formed Got Pay? Organization went quite =
well. It was a spirited discussion and I would highly encourage more =
folks from the performing arts community as well as agents, producers =
and directors to join us in the future. In the future, I would =
recommend less panelists (perhaps spread out the specialties over =
several meetings). There's still plenty to talk about and I'm sure more =
questions will arise from the audience. This is only the beginning. =
I'd be happy to talk about the Got Pay issues that arise in the music =
business and how I handle them.

Thank you for getting the ball rolling!=20

Hullo, My Deah, Deah AAA . . .an Actor's Activist Angel.

First: Kudos on the fabulous meeting. Hope something comes from =
"this." As I observed & listened to all the input, I couldn't help =
thinking that, IF "this" is the start of a "Change Era," that folks like =
Tom Schorgl & CPAC should know about & participate in "this.". . . =
That, IF we all lived long enough, we could collectively dream of seeing =
Cleveland being considered as an artistic center, mentioned in =
almost-the-same-sentence as New York, Chicago & LA, might be realized. . =
.=20

Couldn't help but wonder what it would be like, IF the few arts-oriented =
political folks (like Peter Lawson Jones & Joe Cimperman) would be part =
of "this" & use their power to get progressive things like a sound =
stage/studio into the area. . . . Anyway, my imagination was running =
wild with the possibilities of what could come from "this" . . . what =
could be . . . Girlfriend, you may just have created "something."

2nd. Will call 'ya to schedule you for the show. Soon, so your momentum =
will keep going.

What a joy to know you . . . SJ

I thought the meeting was VERY informative, but we've only JUST =
scratched the surface. There is a lot more information we didn't have =
time to touch on. I would like to see all the notes from the =
presentation - hopefully on the website - and/or e-mailed to all the =
attendees. I think for the next meeting, it might be good to post what =
the agenda will be, so we can be ready with questions and notes. Also, =
can we have refreshments this time?

Thanks, Jean!
