3rd Annual Beck Center

Stand-Up Comedy Show

            Lakewood, OH - Uncontrollable laughter!  Is that what you
think of when you remember your graduation?  Well, graduates of the Beck
Center Stand-Up Comedy Class are putting away their caps, gowns and
emotional speeches for one hilarious night of stand-up comedy.  That's
right!  The Beck Center for the Arts will host a special Comedy Night
"graduation ceremony" on Saturday, April 9 at 9:00 p.m. (doors open at
8:30 p.m.).  Comedy Class graduates will perform as stand-up comics for
the first time in front of a live audience. =20

The evening will be hosted by comedian, and course instructor, John
David Sidley.  Sidley is founder of The Cleveland Comedy Kitchen, a
group of comedians who raise money for hunger assistance.  Special guest
performers will also be featured including comics Rodney Bengston, Al
Hohf and Mike Scanlon. =20

The show will take place in the Armory Building located in the rear of
the Beck Center campus. Admission to this unforgettable night of comedy
is $5 per person.  Seating is limited and reservations are recommended.

Beck Center for the Arts is located just ten minutes west of downtown
Cleveland at 17801 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood.
