Singing Angels' Mother's Day Benefit highlights creative collaborations

MARCH 10, 2004 (CLEVELAND) -- "The Singing Angels' 41st Spring Benefit
Concert, on May 8, 2005, will provide a perfect way to celebrate Mother's
Day as the group showcases several exciting new partnerships.

This year's spring concert, "Can't Stop the Beat," features a collaboration
with Musical Theater Education Programming (MTEP). MTEP's executive
director, Bill Rudman, who is also a well-known radio personality, will lead
the group in an informative tribute to legend Harold Arlen and a segment on
Irving Berlin.

Acclaimed dance troupe Dancing Wheels will also perform for the first time
with The Singing Angels.

All of this is in addition to a new edition of the crowd-pleasing Broadway,
barbershop and family-friendly repertoire audiences have come to love from
Cleveland's world-renowned non-profit youth chorus, made up of nearly 350
children ages 8 to 18 from seven counties in the Greater Cleveland area.

Held twice each year in the world-class Playhouse Square, this spectacular
event at the Allen Theatre is a tradition, with costumes, professional
choreography and stagecraft, solo numbers, and classics. All proceeds
benefit the non-profit Singing Angels. Recent benefit concerts have sold
out, and concertgoers are urged to buy their tickets early to get the best
seats.

Tickets are on sale now. The show is May 8, 2005, at 3 p.m. Prices range
from $6.25 to $35. (Children 12 and under half price except for $6.25
seats.) Order through the Playhouse Square Box Office, 1519 Euclid Avenue,
Cleveland, Ohio. (Open daily 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; restoration fee charged), or
at Tickets.com, online or by phone, (216) 241-6000. Outside Cleveland call
(800) 766-6048. All major credit cards accepted; handling fee charged.

Proceeds benefit the 501(c)(3) non-profit Singing Angels, which was founded
in 1964 and is open to children ages 8 to 18, without regard to their race,
creed or socioeconomic situation. It mission is "to encourage, foster and
cultivate positive youth development by engaging youth from all communities
in quality music and performing arts education that teaches discipline,
builds confidence, and provides a foundation for life - Making Music, Making
Friends, Making a Difference." For more information, call (216) 432-5555 or
