I know a lot of you might not have time to attend and think it is just a
simple event placed with bunch of independent filmmakers, but guess
what, this is a good opportunity to:

- to support a local convention
- to bring awareness of YOUR project so people know and then you can
create a buzz going
- to get support on what you do in the future (so you can get some free
cast/crew)
- to meet others and to listen to their ideas (networking)
- to probably bring interest in your project so you can probably get
some $$$$ from them
- to see what other talent available so you can perhaps know whom to
contact in the future if you need them
- to mingle (not it's not a waste of time, but in the ENTERTAINMENT
industry, it's who you know to help you grow)

So for a small investment, you gain a lot more (just like other events
that will benefit the performing art/entertainment talent)

Filmmaking is not just about you going out there to make movies and
close yourself within your own world, but it is to expand and to let
others know about you, to show your appreciation to them and to help
each other, after all if you want free help, you should think about
helping others first, and event such as this, The IndieGathering, or the
monthly Happy Hour or the monthly Cleveland IndieClub meetings, etc. are
good to help expand your horizon.
