will hold auditions for
MAMA'S VEIL

Wednesday, June 8th and Thursday, June 9th

7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

                   6th and West Avenue
                   Elyria, Ohio

Show Dates:  August 11, 12, 13 & 14

Mama's Veil is an original work written by Teresa Jenkins.  It is a =
humorous, touching look at the complex dynamics of a mother-daughter =
relationship and the changes which take place as the young girl grows =
up.

The show won numerous awards at the Northeast Regional competition of =
the Ohio Community Theater Association, when it first came out in 2002.  =
=20

Characters:

MAMA: The matriarch of the Cardwell family, is a feisty staunch
Baptist with brain, wit, and a ferocious love of family.  She ages
throughout the play from her thirties to her sixties. She should be =
played
by one versatile actress.

BETTY ANN:  The younger of two daughters, is both Mama's most prized =
rose
and most annoying thorn.  Betty Ann ages in the play from age 9 to age =
42.

She is played by 3 actresses:
YOUNG BETTY ANN (9-13)=20
MIDDLE BETTY ANN(17-21)=20
ADULT BETTY ANN (30's-40's)
