Case Western Reserve University invites applications for a Visiting Assistan=

Professor of Theater Arts or Lecturer, for a one-year appointment not on the=

years, beginning August, 2005.

Teaching responsibilities include a 100-level general education sequence in=20
Theater and Culture, the department's history survey, and literature and=20
criticism courses.=A0=A0 Teaching opportunities exist for additional courses=

candidate's areas of interest.=A0=A0 Candidates will typically conduct indep=
endent=20
study seminars, and advise honors thesis projects.=A0=A0 Candidates should s=
ustain a=20
creative, scholarly agenda, and they should be committed to teaching=20
undergraduates, including non-majors, in a collaborative, liberal arts envir=
onment.=A0=20
Other possibilities include advising the student theater club, and the=20
department's undergraduate acting troupe.=A0=A0 Summer teaching is also a po=

Qualifications:=A0=A0 Ph.D. required, with University level teaching experie=
