<div>I normally hesitate to post responses to these sort of postings,
however, I have to say that I'm rather taken aback by the complaining
over attachments.  </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Would you tell a big Hollywood Producer NOT to send you an attachment
because your still on dial up?  If you would, I doubt you'd be sent
anything.  </div>
<div> </div>
<div>It's kind of like getting mad at someone for sending you a CD and not
an 8 track tape.  </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Like it or not, the Entertainment Industry is
<STRONG><U>pretentious.  </U></STRONG></div>
<div> </div>
<div>And I totally disagree that any artist that sent out an attachment is
in the wrong and should be getting openly berated on this mailing
list.  Artists CREATE, and yes, they love to make colorful fliers
etc. to advertise their services.  That's called keeping up with
the competition.  </div>
<div> </div>
<div>As for the attachements supposedly carrying viruses---</div>
<div> </div>
<div>If you have GOOD ANTI VIRUS SOFTWARE, all attachments are scanned for
viruses.  </div>
<div> </div>
<div>I read in one of the emails that someone didn't appreciate waiting
2-3 minutes to open an attachment.  Put it in perspective and be
grateful you don't have to wait 12-16 hours for an airplane to drop
your dinner from the sky---</div>
<div> </div>
<div>If you want to compete with those already successful in the
entertainment industry, it does mean keeping up.  And
unfortunately, people that have moved on from dial up shouldn't have to
go backwards, those on dial up need to move forward.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>And before anyone sends an email saying they can't afford NOT to be
on dial up, I assure you High Speed Internet is very affordable these
days.<BR></div>
