Location: Sandefur Theatre Makeup Facilities, Guzzetta Hall, University =
of Akron, Akron, Ohio.

Dates:  August 19 and 20, 2005.

Times:  8:30 AM - 4:00 PM each day.

Purpose: Participants will learn:=20

1. The safe manufacture of theatrical dental appliances.

2.  Health and safety data concerning the material, production and use =
of acrylic appliances.

3.  Methods of acrylic dental appliance production

     a. Direct acrylic sculpture on a custom stone

     b. Full instruction on dental mold-making and stone casting.

     c. Reverse sculpture acrylic casting.

     d. The StriaCrux Brush Sculpting Technique.

Fee:  $395 until August 4.  $415 August 4 - 12.  Fee includes lunch and =
the contents of a workshop kit including dental tools, dental acrylic =
shade powder, acrylic monomer, liquid tooth shades, Ultra-cal (stone), =
dental alginate, Alcote, sculpting clay, pre-made acrylic teeth, three =
sizes of dental trays, a professional dental appliance video, hygiene =
materials, masks, mixing sticks, a sable brush for finishing clay =
sculptures, several acrylic "sculpting" brushes, two types of brush =
cleaner, stone marker, 2 rubber mold trays, and a metal finishing tool =
w/ spatula.

Registration: Limited to 10 participants.  Because of the nature of the =
workshop all registrants must be pre-paid.

Instructor:  Mr. James F. Reed is the chief make-up artist for the Ohio =
Clown College and a professional theatre make-up artist.  He is the =
inventor of the StriaCrux Brush Sculpting Technique that will used in =
the workshop.
