CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM TO OPEN TALES OF THE LOST FORMICANS ON FRIDAY, JULY 8

For convergence-continuum's next production, audiences will experience an
intergalactic study of a very strange species. Narrated by a group of
alien anthropologists, the play follows the lives of a family of
"Formicans" (as in users of Formica) living in a place known as "suburb."
This is a species that they discover reproduces with difficulty, is
grouped in loosely structured units called families, uses vocal intensity
for effective communication, and lives in planned communities where
nothing works as planned.

On July 8, audiences will take a tour through Middle America conducted by
aliens in Constance Congdon's play, TALES OF THE LOST FORMICANS, directed
by convergence-continuum's Artistic Director, Clyde Simon, and featuring
an ensemble cast that includes Amy Bistok, Lucy Bredeson-Smith, Arthur
Grothe, Geoffry Hoffman, Christine McBurney and Robert A. Walter

TALES OF THE LOST FORMICANS opens Friday, July 8 and runs Thursdays,
Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm through August 6, at the Liminis, 2438
Scranton Rd. in Cleveland's historic Tremont neighborhood. Tickets are
$12 for general admission and $9 for students and seniors. For
