This Saturday we proudly present Chris Thomas King, star of "Oh Brother..." "Ray" and other movies as well as tours. Just about all of King's talents was showcased this fall. In October 2004 King released his latest CD, "Why My Guitar Screams and Moans." King produced, wrote, arranged, engineered and performed on all the instruments (with the exception of the horn section) for this new project. As an actor King will be featured as the legendary blues guitarist Lowel Fulson in the long awaited bio-pic of the life of Ray Charles, "Ray" Filmed in Louisiana, "Ray" was released by Universal Pictures in October. And last, on September, 21st Century Blues Records, King's record label, will release "Dreams of a Blues Man" by the British blues/rock group Nublues.

Grammy award winning New Orleans blues artist and actor Chris Thomas King continued his dominating prominence on the popular scene this month, achieving gold status (500,000 units sold) of his hit song "John Law Burned Down The Liquor Sto" which he recorded for the Down From The Mountain soundtrack.

Chris Thomas King is now one of most recognized and successful blues artist of his generation. The multi Grammy award winning musician and actor grew up as a child-prodigy guitarist learning the blues at the feet of some of the music's masters at the Baton Rouge, Louisiana club Tabby's Blues Box, owned by his father, Rockin' Tabby Thomas. King has written a screenplay based on his life story, also titled "Why My Guitar Screams and Moans," currently being shopped to publishers and television networks.

King is a true innovator—his music is authentic blues; it is contemporary blues. His performances and recordings bridge the past with the present and future, bringing blues into the digital age. As Willie Dixon once said, "the blues is the root and everything else is the fruits" King' music brings the fruits back home.
