SOLON CENTER FOR THE ARTS ANNOUNCES YOUTH THEATER SEASON
=20
Solon Center for the Arts is proud to announce the Youth Theater Season =
for 2005-2006.
=20
Stories on Stage will return this year for students grades 3=966 and will =
be directed by Dominic Chicotel. Children will create a dramatization of =
Ramona=92s World by Beverly Cleary, permission pending. Ramona expects =
the fourth grade to be the best year of her life so far. With her new =
best friends Daisy and her cheerful teacher Mrs. Meacham how could it not =
be? But Ramona is in for a big surprise! Join the cast of Ramona=92s =
World and help dramatize her many adventures. Students will be asked to =
purchase the book prior to the beginning of the session, read it and bring =
it to class.

There will be three free performances on November 15, 2005 at Solon =
Library, November 17, 2005 at Chagrin Falls Library and November 19, 2005 =
at Solon Center for the Arts. Additional Stories on Stage classes will be =
held throughout the year with performances in March and June. Rehearsals =
will run Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 13 through November 10 from =
6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. There will be a mandatory Parent/Child meeting on =
Tuesday, September 13 at 7:00 pm. Tuition for this class is $110.00. =
*Publisher approval pending =96 if approval not granted, a similar book =
will be selected.

Spotlight Youth Theater will also return this year for students grades =
5=968 and will be directed by Magdalyn Donolly. The fall Spotlight Youth =
Theater production will be The Knights of the Rad Table by Pat Lyderson. =
This highly amusing and entertaining play follows Gwen and Artie on a =
typical day=85until Merlin wakes up from a 1500 year nap to whisk them =
away to the exhilarating days of chivalry! Not only is Artie majestically =
crowned king, but Gwen gets to meet the =93to-die-for=94 Lancelot and the =
=93Knights of the Rectangular Table.=94 When Artie is kidnapped by the =
evil Morgan La Fey, the newly-crowned king=92s clumsy, yet devoted, =
knights set out on an unforgettable journey to rescue him. This show =
involves a large cast with many roles, so don=92t miss out on your =
opportunity to shine on stage!

Rehearsals will be Wednesdays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturdays from =
12:00 noon to 2:00 pm. Performances will be Friday, December 2 at 7:30 pm =
and Saturday, December 3 at 2:00 pm. Tuition for this class is $175.00.

Director Lisa Evans and Choreographer Trish Burke-Williams will return for =
the Spring 2006 Spotlight Youth Theater Musical, to be announced. =
Performances will be March 17 & 18, 2006. Director Kristina J. Ferencie =
will also return for the Summer 2006 Youth Theater Musical, to be =
announced. Performances will be August 10-13, 2006.
