unique and exciting programs in the new Idea Center at Playhouse Square!

The Art and Appreciation of Acting for Radio and Television=20

with Maryann Nagel

Mondays, Sept. 26-Nov. 14    4-5:30 pm

For ages 13-19           $180

This class has been developed for the fundamental study if the art of
acting in radio and television. Participants will learn how to use the
voice healthfully, study techniques of microphone usage, develop skills
in the reading of scripts "cold," learn techniques in the process of
acting for TV, create characters that vocally are both "real" people and
characterizations.

Hip Hop Percussion Ensemble=20

with Neil Chastain

Wednesdays, Sept. 28-Nov. 14   4:00-5:30 pm

For ages 13-19   $180

It's a little bit Stomp. It's a little bit Hip Hop, African, Latin and
Jazz. And it's a little bit body percussion. SAFMOD Music Director leads
this ensemble you won't find anywhere else in town!

For ages 13-19   $180

This energetic workshop is for young poets and emcees who want to take
the first-or the next-step in writing and performance. This is the first
step towards gaining a spot on Cleveland's National Youth Poetry Slam
Team that will travel to New York in April.
