SOLON CENTER FOR THE ARTS ANNOUNCES
FALL MUSIC CLASSES

Solon Center for the Arts is proud to announce the opening of enrollment =
for fall music classes.
=20
SCA offers private music lessons for beginning, intermediate and advanced =
students. You=92re invited to learn a new instrument or polish up on your =
skills with one of the many talented instructors at SCA. Private music =
lessons are offered in brass, guitar, piano, Suzuki piano, voice, =
mandolin, theory, Suzuki violin, violin, viola, cello and Celtic harp.=20

Lesson times are available Monday =96 Thursday from 9:00 am =96 9:00 pm, =
Friday from 9:00 am =96 5:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am =96 3:00 pm. Not =
all disciplines and instructors are available at all times, but SCA staff =
will do their best to accommodate your schedule and find the lesson time =
that is perfect for you!

Also available is the Tunes for Tots program for your toddler or pre-school=
er, Friday, September 16 =96 November 18 from 1:00 pm =96 1:30 pm or 1:30 =
pm =96 2:00 pm. Children and caregivers will have fun while singing and =
dancing with bean bags, shakers, bubbles and parachutes and being led in =
traditional sing-a-longs by instructor Kathy Fromson and her guitar. =
Kindermusik is also available for children 18-months to 6-years-old. =
Kindermusik of Cleveland has been providing families in Northeast Ohio the =
time and tools to help bring the power of music into your home since 1996. =
Our trained and licensed educators provide carefully researched, developmen=
tally appropriate music and movement programs for children.=20

Looking for an alternative to your child=92s after school daycare? Try out =
the arts4kids Music program for grades K-4. SCA=92s after school program =
provides an artistic and creative extended classroom experience Monday =
through Friday. Students will be dropped off at SCA by Solon Schools=92 =
busses, after having completed a transportation request form to be held on =
file at the Transportation Department.  A snack will be provided at the =
beginning of each session. Monday and Tuesday will include Music and =
Methods activities. Students will participate in a variety of singing =
exercises and games while learning about the theory behind the music. =
Thursdays will include Music and Stage activities.  Students will be =
introduced to music and performance techniques through ensemble and =
singing, sight reading, mock auditions, basic movement, music and theater =
games and activities. There will also be some listening and watching other =
performances for the purpose of exposure.=20
