SOLON CENTER FOR THE ARTS ANNOUNCES
2005-2006 DANCE CLASSES

Solon Center for the Arts is proud to announce new and returning dance =
classes for the 2005-2006 Semester starting September 12, 2005.
=20
Creative Movement will return for children ages 4-6. This class focuses on =
basic coordination and rhythm with an introduction to Ballet and Tap =
styles. For students not yet old enough to enroll in Creative Movement, =
Intro to Movement is also offered. Students will learn the basics of =
movement including coordination and rhythm and be given the opportunity to =
develop their imagination and self-expression.=20

For those with more specific interests but at the beginning level, =
Pre-Ballet 1st Year, Pre-Ballet 2nd Year and Pre-Tap are also offered for =
students ages 6-8. Students will learn the basics of ballet or tap terms =
and steps in addition to focusing on proper posture, timing, and rhythmic =
awareness as appropriate.

For those who may be more advanced, Ballet I is offered for students ages =
7-10, Ballet II for students ages 10-12 and Ballet III for students ages =
12-16. These classes encourage growth of the student=92s technique working =
them through the SCA Dance Department all the way from Pre-Ballet to =
Ballet III. The depth and focus of each class increases as the student =
increases in age. Tap I is also offered for students ages 8-10 and Jazz =
for students ages 12-16.=20

Hip Hop I and Hip Hop II will return this year, utilizing the latest music =
video and street moves. Hip Hop I is open to those ages 11-13 and Hip Hop =
II is open to those ages 13-16.=20
