The TrueNorth Symphony is beginning rehearsals starting August 15 for =
the
September 11 Memorial Concert with the TrueNorth Chorale in Avon Lake. =
The
centerpiece of the concert is =93Memorial,=94 written by Ren=E9 Claussen =
to honor
and remember that tragic day. The Symphony will also perform =
=93Elegy=94 by
John Corigliano.

This is a call for instrumentalists to join our TrueNorth Symphony for =
this
concert and others in the future, including =93Requiem=94 by Faur=E9 in =
October, a
Christmas concert in December, and an all-symphonic concert in January.

We have openings in all string sections, as well as two bassoons, one =
oboe,
and two French horns. This is a volunteer (non-paid) symphony of adults
(and youth) of all ages, with skill levels that range from intermediate =
to
advanced. We play only original scores of both classical and =
contemporary
compositions, not simplified arrangements. Auditions are informal: =
just
sit in on a rehearsal and talk with me afterward.

Rehearsals are held on Monday nights from 7:30 to 9:15 at TrueNorth =
Cultural
