The Cassidy Theatre is proud to announce auditions for The Golden Age by =
A.R. Gurney. =20
All roles are open.

An ensemble play in two acts, this intriguing game of cat and mouse =
concerns the past of the glamorous Isabel Hastings Hoyt, an aging but =
charming recluse who had been a glittering figure in the 1920's, and a =
missing torrid chapter of "The Great Gatsby" that she claims to have in =
her possession - or does she?

Originally presented in a staged reading at The Aspen Playwrights =
Conference, it starred Barbara Babcock, Peter Maloney and Celeste Holm.  =
The Kennedy Center and Broadway runs starred Stockard Channing, Jeff =
Daniels and Irene Worth.

PRODUCTION DATES:  October 21 - November 6, 2005

AUDITION DATES:  Monday, August 29th at 7:00p.m. & Tuesday, August 30th =
at 7:00p.m.

NEEDED ARE:  1 woman aged 50 and up to play Isabel - elegant,=20
                                 incredibly charming, an excellent =
"chess" player
                        1 woman aged 30 - 40 to play Virginia, Isabel's =
granddaughter - a twice-divorced
                                 alcoholic, awkward, nervous
                        1 man aged 20 - 40 to play Tom - a writer & =
college professor, confident but gullible
