Position Description
The Director of Music is responsible for the coordination of all music for services of worship on Sunday’s and at other times as needed. The Director of Music works closely with the Pastor in planning music for worship, taking into account the special nature of certain celebrations, seasons and events in the life of the church.  The Director of Music is considered a part of the paid staff of Old South Church and as such is directly supervised by the Pastor. The Deacons Ministry of Old South Church has the general responsibility and oversight for all aspects of the worship life of the church and will provide guidance and input as necessary for the functioning of the music program.
