"I Just Want To Be" was and still is a funky classic beat by the =
innovative group Cameo and has now resurfaced as a backdrop to a 10 =
minute puppet/mime dance routine lively performed by teens from Karamu's =
summer camp who studied mime under Artistic Director Terrence Spivey. =
The story concerns a young lady who discovers puppets built by her =
father that has been stored down in a Karamu's theatre basement for =
years. Each puppet is named after a Karamu legend. She wishes for them =
to move, and be and come alive. Soon, her wish is granted and the fun =
begins.

The routine "I Just Want To Be" from the song of the same name was =
staged by Spivey for the summer camp production of "Fame: Making it to =
the Top". The summer production ended August 12th and was well applauded =
with standing room only including parents and Karamu patrons. Usher's =
choreographer and Clevelander Todd Sams made a surprise appearance to =
see the production while in town. He was escorted by Call and Post =
entertainment editor Kevin "Chill" Heard".=20

More will soon be taken by this fun filled routine watching a young =
generation pop and lock to an old school beat. They have been invited to =
perform at the Ohio Classic Chairman Breakfast on September 17 in Crowne =
Plaza.
