Cabaret 101 will help you learn about this exciting genre, and by the
end of the 8-week session, you will perform your own 15-minute set!

Background and experience do not matter in this relaxed and supportive
environment, and by the end of this class you will not only learn more
about the art of singing a song in an intimate cabaret setting, you will
have discovered a new form of self-expression, tapped into creativity
you never knew you had and discover new self-confidence.

self confidence as a performer, an actor, a salesperson, a manager, and
even a parent.

About the Instructors:

CHARLES EVERSOLE has served as musical director and /or supervisor for
over fifty musical theater productions, including national tours of THE
WHO'S TOMMY and A GRAND NIGHT FOR SINGING, and nationwide performances
of the musical satire company THE NEWS IN REVUE. While living in New
York, Charles served as a musical director, voice teacher, and
instructor at NYU and at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. In
addition, he was dance arranger for the off-Broadway musical THE IT
GIRL, and led the revival of PHILEMON for Music in a Box.  Local
cabarets include MISS GULCH RETURNS and THOSE SEVEN LITTLE WORDS at
Kennedy's, and FOR THE LOVE OF MIKE and LET'S KISS AND MAKE UP at the
Cleveland Play House Club.  His compositions are featured on YOU HEARD
IT HERE FIRST, Melissa Barber's CD of music written by Northern Ohio
composers.   As a singer/actor, Charles has performed with Cleveland
Opera, Great Lakes Theatre Festival, Lyric Opera Cleveland, and in the
wedding band for TONY AND TINA'S WEDDING.  Currently, Charles is Music
Director of the Singing Angels, and teaches voice at CCC-West.=20

LORA WORKMAN is a graduate from Baldwin-Wallace's Conservatory of Music,
has worn many theatrical hats throughout the Cleveland and regional
theater area. Most recently, she directed and produced the critically
acclaimed Miss Gulch Returns! as well as creating The Cleveland Cabaret
Project (www.clevelandcabaret.com <http://www.clevelandcabaret.com/> )
with Charles Eversole both having played in Kennedy's at Playhouse
Square Center. She also directed and choreographed The Will Rogers
Follies at Berea Summer Theatre, which was awarded a Times Newspaper
Tribute for Directing. As a singer/actor, Lora was a finalist in the
2003 San Francisco Cabaret Competition and recently performed at Don't
Tell Mama's in NYC. She has also performed in The Best Little Whorehouse
in Texas w/ Barbara Eden, The Student Prince w/ Jerome Hines, Cedar
Point Amusement Park and The North Coast Men's Chorus. By day, Lora is
the Educators' Liaison at Playhouse Square Center where she brings in
over 50,000 students a year to see performances in the Discovery Theatre
Series for Schools.
