Cassidy Theatre opens its 31st season with the Tony Award-winning musical, APPLAUSE on Friday, September 16th.

Set in 1970 and based on the classic film, "All About Eve", APPLAUSE tells the story of theatre diva Margo Channing (played by Candice Russell) and her conflicts with the manipulative "Eve Harrington", a young actress clawing her way to the top (played by WTAM radio personality Kim Mihalik of "The Mike Trivisonno Show").  With a Charles Strouse/Lee Adams score (the composers of Annie and Bye Bye Birdie, the show features songs like "Welcome to the Theatre" and "Applause".  A tribute to all who love musicals, APPLAUSE lyrically answers the question posed by many actors..."Why do we live this crazy life?"
