Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

Auditions:

Tuesday, November 8, 2005 7:30pm till 9:00pm  

Wednesday, November 9, 2005 7:30pm till 9:00pm

No need to prepare a monologue.  I will have you read directly from the script.

Callbacks or additional auditions only as necessary. ALL ROLES ARE COMPENSATED. Sorry, No more Equity contracts. 

Production and Rehearsal dates:

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof will open on Friday, February 3 and run through February 19, 2006. There will be 11 performances over this period. There will be one school matinee on either Thursday, February 9 or 16. Of course, you will be compensated for all performances. Rehearsals will begin in December, dependent upon the cast's schedules. Sorry, I have only one Equity contract and that is already utilized. I will have at least one Equity contract for Lakeland's summer musical.

The Roles:

Margaret:  Already cast. 

Brick: One of the great roles in American Theatre.Between 25 and 35 years old. Son of Big Daddy.

Big Daddy: Mitchell Fields*, AEA.

Mae: Between 25 and 30 years old. Called 'Sister Woman' in the play. Wife to Gooper, mother to several children.

Gooper: Between 25 and 35 years old.Male. Son of Big Daddy.

Reverend Tooker: Between 30 and 60.Male

Dixie/Male Kid: 2 kids between 10 and 12 years.Female/Male.

Big Mama: Mary Jane Nottage. 

Doctor Baugh: Between 40 and 60 years. Male

2 Servants: Nice roles; between 20 and 30 years.

These roles are great and demand great actors!

Auditions will be held in Performing Arts Center at Lakeland Community College. Take I 90 east and exit at the second exit, Route #306. Turn right (south) on Rt. #306. Turn left into the Lakeland Community College, the first light. Get in the right lane. Turn right at the stop sign. Turn right at the next stop sign. Turn left into the faculty/staff parking lot. Park at the other end of the parking lot. The PAC is just past and to the left of the Clocktower.
