For two days in October the Everts and Skerritt will be joined by the=20
internationally renowned JOHN WUBBENHORST, master of the bansuri flute, and=20=

innovative colleagues of FACING EAST (www.facingeast.com), "the ground-break=

Indian/jazz fusion group that has been described as the best thing since Joh=

McLaughlin=E2=80=99s Shakti group". The dance, visual, and musical artists=20=

insights about, and artistic expressions in response to, the exploration of=20=

sacred as the legitimate context for the creation and presentation of art, a=

the relationship with the Guru as the means by which that context is created=

John Wubbenhorst, one of the leading western disciples of HARIPRASAD=20
CHAURASIA, and his colleagues of FACING EAST will play a musical offering of=
both the=20
traditional Indian raga, and world fusion. Their =E2=80=9CImprovisational W=
orld=20
Orchestra=E2=80=9D will perform totally free improvisation relying only on s=
ensitivity to=20
sound. Included in this extraordinary group are Steve Zerlin on bass, Ken=20
Anoff on percussion, Michael Sheppard, master keyboardist, who has performed=
